Entry requirement:
Ideally 2 A levels or 5 GCSE, but each applicant’s academic or work experience can be assessed individually.

Time commitment for each of the following: (contact time, study time and clinical training)
On class dates, 7 hours per day.
7-10 hours per week home study.
400 hours in Clinic.

Course Information

What do you consider to be the main strengths of your course?

Students start with a Biomedicine Course, they do not require specialist knowledge beforehand. CNM’s naturopathic approach means that students gain an understanding of other natural therapies, from TCM to Iridology, to increase their ability to help their clients, and so run a successful practice. The emphasis on hands-on skills, through clinical practice, makes for confident practitioners.

What different learning styles are offered and how are they supported?

Study is interactive and encompasses both classroom, home study, and hands-on skills.

How is clinical training delivered and when do students start to see patients?

In the 2nd year of Homeopathy, students observe clinics.
In the 3rd year of Homeopathy, students take cases themselves in clinic, under supervision.

How are students supported during their training and beyond?

Lecturers and Directors of Study support students during training. There are class reps, and many set up student groups. Afterwards, CNM supports and promotes graduates through media activities, a practitioner database, and E-news.

How do students develop the skills to balance and maintain their own health and wellbeing, whilst functioning as an effective practitioner?

By applying what they learn about the need for a balanced lifestyle and diet, which is emphasised to all students through CNM’s naturopathic training.

How is progress assessed?

There are ongoing assignments and exams. Everyone gets back their exam results, and gets the chance to run through them with their lecturers. In clinic, supervisors provide feedback.

How are your teachers supported and enabled to teach well?

Lecturers communicate with, and are supported by, Directors of Study and their Course Director.
